USOs stand for "Unidentified Submersible Objects". They are a type of unidentified flying object (UFO) that have been reported to submerge or navigate underwater. These objects have been described as disc-shaped, cigar-shaped, spherical, or other shapes, and they are reported to move through water with great speed and agility. (USOs), also reported as, Unidentified Transmedium Vehicles (UTVs) have been reported since the 1940s.
History of USOs/UTVs
Reports of USOs/UTVs can be traced back to the 1940s, during World War II. There were reports of unidentified objects flying over the sea and disappearing into the water. These sightings were reported by both military personnel and civilians, and they continued to be reported even after the war ended. In the 1950s, the US Navy conducted an investigation called “Project Blue Book” to study the phenomenon of USOs/UTVs. The project was later declassified, and the findings were made public.
Sightings of USOs/UTVs
There have been several reported sightings of USOs/UTVs over the years. Some of the most notable sightings include:
World War II (1940s) - Reports of unidentified objects flying over the sea and disappearing into the water were reported by both military personnel and civilians during World War II.
Shag Harbour Incident (1967) - A bright object was seen crashing into the water off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. The object was reported to have submerged, and several witnesses reported seeing a yellow foam-like substance in the water.
USS Trepang Incident (1971) - During a routine submarine mission, crew members of the USS Trepang reported seeing a circular object in the water that emitted a bright light.
Cape May Incident (1975) - Several witnesses reported seeing a strange object flying over the ocean before it appeared to enter the water and disappear.
Gulf Breeze Sightings (1987-1990) - A series of sightings of UFOs over the Gulf Breeze area of Florida, which included sightings of objects entering and exiting the water.
Tic Tac Incident (2004) - This incident, which was part of the larger Nimitz Encounter, involved the sighting of a tic tac-shaped object that was observed flying and hovering over the water before it disappeared.
Nimitz Encounter (2004) - This incident involved the sighting of several UFOs, including one that was reported to have plunged into the water. The incident was later investigated by the US Navy and was featured in a New York Times article.
Puerto Rico Incident (2013) - A group of fishermen reported seeing a large, metallic object rising out of the water. The object was reported to be over 100 feet in diameter and emitted a bright light.
USS Omaha Incident (2019) - Crew members of the USS Omaha reported seeing a spherical object flying over the ocean and then disappearing into the water. The incident was captured on video and was later released by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell.
Possible Secret Military Technology Explanations
A possible explanation for USOs/UTVs sightings is that they could be advanced military technology that is being tested in secret. Governments and military forces are known to conduct classified tests of new technologies, such as advanced submarines or underwater drones, that could be mistaken for UFOs or UTVs. Some believe that the US Navy's Project Blue Book was actually a cover-up for such secret military tests.
Possible Extraterrestrial Life Explanations
Some ufologists believe that USOs/UTVs could be evidence of extraterrestrial life visiting our planet. It is possible that some sightings could be attributed to extraterrestrial craft exploring our oceans. Supporters of this theory point to the similarity between some USOs/UTVs and UFOs that are observed in the sky, as well as the idea that extraterrestrial life forms could have evolved to live in underwater environments.
Other Intelligent Life Forms Explanations
Another possible explanation for USOs/UTVs sightings is that they could be from other intelligent life forms in our own planet, such as creatures that have evolved to live in underwater environments. There are many unexplored areas of the ocean, and some researchers believe that undiscovered species could be responsible for some USOs/UTVs sightings.
