Supernatural Activity

Supernatural activity refers to phenomena that cannot be explained by natural or scientific means, and are often associated with paranormal or spiritual experiences.  Many people around the world report experiencing unexplained phenomena that they attribute to supernatural causes. Here are a few examples of reported supernatural activity:

 

Amityville Horror.

On November 13, 1974, the estate was the scene of mass murder. Using a .35 Marlin rifle, 23-year-old Ronald J. DeFeo Jr. murdered his entire family while they were asleep, which included his parents and four siblings.  Thirteen months later, the Lutz family purchased the home at a drastically reduced price of $80,000 (due to the murders) but only lasted 28 days before leaving it.

In 1975, the Lutz family moved into the house in Amityville, New York, where the gruesome murders had occurred the year before. The family reported a series of strange occurrences, including unexplained noises, foul odors, and objects moving on their own. They also reported seeing apparitions and experiencing physical manifestations, such as welts and blisters. The Lutz family's story was later documented in the book "The Amityville Horror" and adapted into a popular movie.

 

Enfield Poltergeist.

In the late 1970s, a family living in a council house in Enfield, England, reported a series of strange occurrences, including furniture moving on its own, unexplained noises, and objects being thrown across the room. The activity was investigated by a team of paranormal investigators, including members of the Society for Psychical Research. The Enfield Poltergeist case gained widespread media attention and was the subject of several documentaries and books.

 

Bell Witch haunting. 

In the early 19th century, the Bell family, who lived in rural Tennessee, reported a series of supernatural occurrences, including unexplained noises, voices, and physical manifestations. The activity was attributed to a witch, who was believed to be haunting the family. The Bell Witch haunting gained widespread attention and has been the subject of many books and movies.

 

Black Monk of Pontefract.

In the 1960s and 1970s, a family living in a house in Pontefract, England, reported a series of strange occurrences, including unexplained noises, objects moving on their own, and apparitions of a black-robed figure. The activity was investigated by paranormal researchers, and the case became known as one of the most well-documented cases of poltergeist activity in history.

 

Brown Lady of Raynham Hall. 

In 1936, photographers captured an image of a ghostly figure on the staircase of Raynham Hall, an English country house. The figure, which appeared to be a woman wearing a brown dress, was later identified as the ghost of Lady Dorothy Walpole, who had lived in the house in the 18th century. Many people have reported seeing the Brown Lady over the years, and the image captured in 1936 remains one of the most famous ghost photographs of all time.

 

Haunting of Borley Rectory.

In the early 20th century, a series of strange occurrences were reported at Borley Rectory, a house in England that was said to be haunted. The activity included unexplained noises, apparitions, and physical manifestations, such as objects moving on their own. The case gained widespread attention and was investigated by paranormal researchers, including Harry Price, who wrote a book about the haunting.

 

Exorcism of Roland Doe. 

In 1949, a teenage boy from Maryland was reportedly possessed by a demon, and his family sought the help of Catholic priests to perform an exorcism. The exorcism, which took place over several months, was said to involve physical manifestations, such as levitation and contortions, as well as unexplained phenomena, such as objects moving on their own. The case gained widespread attention and was later documented in books and movies.

 

Enigma of Kaspar Hauser.

In the early 19th century, a young man appeared in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, claiming that he had been held captive in a small cell for most of his life. The man, who was later identified as Kaspar Hauser, became a sensation and was said to possess remarkable abilities, such as the ability to learn languages quickly and to identify colors blindfolded. However, his life was cut short when he was stabbed and killed under mysterious circumstances. The case of Kaspar Hauser remains unsolved, and some people believe that it was linked to supernatural or paranormal phenomena.

 

The Devil's Footprints.

In 1855, a series of hoof-like footprints appeared in the snow in the town of Devon, England. The footprints covered a distance of over 100 miles and appeared to pass through walls and over rooftops. The phenomenon was never explained, and some people believe that it was evidence of a supernatural occurrence.

 

The Mothman. 

In the 1960s, a strange creature with glowing eyes was reported in the vicinity of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The creature, which was described as a winged humanoid, was said to have caused car accidents and other strange occurrences. The sightings of the Mothman were later linked to the collapse of the Silver Bridge, which resulted in the deaths of 46 people. Some people believe that the Mothman was a supernatural entity that foretold the disaster.

 

Ghosts of Gettysburg.

During the American Civil War, the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania was the site of one of the bloodiest battles in American history. Since then, many people have reported seeing ghostly apparitions on the battlefield and in nearby buildings. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center has even offered ghost tours, and there are numerous books and documentaries about the Ghosts of Gettysburg.

 

Winchester Mystery House. 

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Sarah Winchester, the widow of the founder of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, built a mansion in San Jose, California. The mansion, which has over 160 rooms, was said to be haunted by the ghosts of people who had been killed by Winchester rifles. The mansion has become a popular tourist attraction and is said to be one of the most haunted places in the United States.

 

Dybbuk Box. 

The Dybbuk Box is a wine cabinet that was sold on eBay in 2003. The box was said to be haunted by a dybbuk, a malevolent spirit from Jewish folklore. The box was sold to several different owners, who reported a series of strange occurrences, including unexplained noises and physical manifestations. The box gained widespread attention and has been the subject of several books and a movie.

 

Ghosts of the Tower of London. 

The Tower of London is a historic castle located in London, England, that has been the site of many reported supernatural encounters. The Tower has been the scene of many executions and other tragedies throughout history, and many people believe that the spirits of the deceased still haunt the castle. The Ghosts of the Tower of London have been the subject of numerous books and documentaries.

 

Skinwalker Ranch. 

Skinwalker Ranch is located in Utah and has been the site of numerous reports of strange and unexplained phenomena, including sightings of strange creatures, unexplained lights in the sky, and even teleportation. The area has been the subject of numerous investigations, including one by the National Institute for Discovery Science, but the cause of the reported phenomena remains unknown.

 

Bridgewater Triangle. 

The Bridgewater Triangle is an area in southeastern Massachusetts that is said to be a hotspot for supernatural activity. Reports of strange occurrences, such as sightings of ghosts, Bigfoot, and UFOs, have been documented in the area for decades. The cause of the reported phenomena is unknown, and the area remains a source of fascination for paranormal enthusiasts.

 

In addition to these well-known cases, there have been many other reported cases of supernatural encounters. These include sightings of apparitions, encounters with ghosts and spirits, and unexplained phenomena, such as psychic abilities and telepathy. There truly is more to this life than we know.
