Patrick McGuire who claimed that he had been abducted by aliens and that UFOs landed on his ranch, is back in the spotlight after his son David Riedel recently shed more light on his father’s experiences.
The discussion about the presence of UFOs aka Unidentified Flying Objects is in full swing over the past few weeks. It all started after UFO whistleblower David Gursch‘s recent interviews where he alleged that the US government. is in possession of “non-human origin technical vehicles,” which have either “landed or crashed.” Now David Reidel, a writer whose father claimed to be an alien abductee is speaking about his and his dad’s experience.
Who was Patrick McGuire?
Patrick McGuire was a Wyoming farmer and rancher who gained the spotlight after his 1979 interview about UFOs. He was born in 1942 and died in 2009, at age 67, in a Colorado hospital due to cancer. His old interview video available on YouTube reveals Patrick’s father and grandfather were both Wyoming ranchers.
Patrick did the interview with Dr Leo Sprinkle who was the Director of Counseling and Testing at the University of Wyoming. Dr Sprinkle had handled many cases related to UFO sightings and Patrick was his 28th case. In his recent article in the Huffington Post, Patrick’s son David reveals that his father often told tales of alien abduction, and talked about interstellar prophecy. He often referred to the ‘star people’ in his tales.
David further notes that his father didn’t always talk about UFOs and alien abduction. “There was a time before my birth when he was obsessed with the lore of his rural community, the spiraling complexities of high school dances, and the schemes of enlarging his Roman Catholic family. He was normal, caring, and complete. That was before the stars came knocking” he writes.
A look at late Wyoming farmer’s wild UFO claims
In his 1979 interview, Patrick talked about cattle mutilations and how a “spaceship” that landed on his ranch took his animals. He also detailed his own abductions by those whom he called, “Star People.”
“We come up on a cow that was dead. They cut the nose off, tongues out and the s*x organs were gone,” he said.
He also said in the interview that the “Star People” warned him of the coming climate crisis.
He went on to describe his alien encounter in detail. His son David is making similar claims in his new article.
“My father saw UFOs. Not one, once, like a dinner guest might claim after a few glasses of wine, but many times. Numerous UFOs all at once, up close, lingering in the western Wyoming sky like a nightmare that refused to dissipate come sunrise,” David writes.
In a 1980 interview with ABC, Patrick claimed that UFOs had landed in his ranch “somewhere around 25, 30 times.”
As per Huffington Post, the witnesses present at the location were quoted saying, “two or three of them land at separate times… [and] we stayed and watched the sun come up and we saw two of them, in daylight, hovering in two separate places.”
David claims that his father already told him a lot of the similar things that UFO whistleblower David Gursch mentioned.
